Personal Data Protection Notice

At Camyapı Cam Pazarlama İnşaat Taahhüt Ticaret ve Sanayi Anonim Şirketi (“Cam Yapı” or the “Company”), we attach importance to the security of your personal data. This notice has been prepared under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) to inform you about the personal data we process in our capacity as data controller.

2. Personal Data We Process

When you visit our website, contact us or enter into a business relationship with us in connection with our architectural glass processing, supply and export activities, the following personal data may be processed:

  • Identity and contact details: the name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, subject and message you send through the contact form, and the information you share when you reach us by e-mail or telephone.
  • Customer and supplier transaction details: the name, surname, title, company and contact details of the representatives or employees of our customers, suppliers and business partners, shared during quotation, order, contract, production, shipment, export-import and invoicing processes.
  • Transaction security data: IP address, browser and device information, date and time records of visits.
  • Cookie and usage data: cookies required for the site to function and to remember your language preference, your cookie consent choices, and visit and page usage statistics collected through Google Analytics.

3. Purposes of Processing

  • Responding to your information and quotation requests and carrying out communication activities,
  • Carrying out quotation, order, contract, production, shipment and after-sales processes,
  • Carrying out export, import, customs and logistics operations,
  • Managing relations with suppliers and business partners, and finance and accounting affairs,
  • Ensuring the security of the website, and monitoring and improving its operation,
  • Fulfilling obligations arising from legislation and providing information to competent authorities,
  • Establishing, exercising and protecting our rights in legal disputes.

4. Method of Collection and Legal Grounds

Your personal data is collected by automated or partly automated means through the contact form on our website, e-mail, telephone, documents issued within the business relationship, and cookies. Your data is processed on the following legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK:

  • Processing is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract,
  • Processing is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations,
  • Processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right,
  • Processing is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed,
  • Your explicit consent, where explicit consent is required, such as for analytics cookies and third-party embedded content.

5. Transfer of Personal Data

Limited to the purposes above and in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, your personal data may be transferred to service providers in Türkiye and abroad from whom we receive hosting, e-mail, security and analytics services (for services such as Google Analytics, data may be processed on servers located abroad), to the logistics and transport companies we work with in order and shipment processes, to customs brokers, banks, our legal and financial advisers, and to legally authorised public institutions and bodies. Your personal data is not sold to third parties.

6. Retention Period

Your personal data is kept for the period required by the purpose of processing and for the limitation and retention periods provided in the relevant legislation; at the end of these periods it is erased, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Your Rights under the KVKK

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, by applying to our Company you have the right to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is processed,
  • Request information if it has been processed,
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose,
  • Know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom the data is transferred,
  • Request rectification if the data is incomplete or inaccurate,
  • Request erasure or destruction under the conditions set out in the KVKK,
  • Request that rectification, erasure and destruction be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred,
  • Object to a result to your detriment arising from analysis of the data exclusively by automated systems,
  • Claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

8. How to Apply

You may submit your requests, together with information verifying your identity, in writing by post to “Bergama Organize Sanayi Bölgesi Mah. Atatürk Cad. No: 8, 35700 Bergama/İzmir, Türkiye” or by e-mail to camyapi@camyapi.com.tr. Applications are concluded free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty (30) days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request; if the process entails an additional cost, the fee in the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.
